Enlightened Original Painting

This 13x16" original oil painting on panel also is guilded with 24 k gold leaf <3 A tedius process that I have taught myself over the last few years. Here, Jesus is portrayed in his traditional pose but this time with an Ape skull face. What is the nature of human consciousness? At what point did hominoids separate themselves from great apes and what sparked this transformation? This piece was originally part of a diptych, the Madona piece has sold separately.
